Valve appears to have beaten its own marketing team to the punch, inadvertently publishing several videos showing the Steam Frame's unboxing, setup process, and various accessories. The footage surfaced on the ARM Steam client following an update, giving an unplanned early look at how the headset will greet buyers out of the box.
The clips did not stay up for long. According to the Steam Hardware Updates account on X, the videos were 'quickly pulled after that,' but not before their brief appearance was noticed and reported by The Verge.
The Steam Frame is Valve's virtual-reality headset, capable of streaming games, and represents the company's next major hardware play. While Valve has not formally detailed the device's out-of-box experience, the accidental drop offers one of the clearest previews yet of the headset and its accessories ahead of any official reveal.
