Taking the temperature of AI.
Primary forecast by ECMWF AIFS, the ECMWF AI model, via Open-Meteo. Cross-checked against MET Norway — the engine behind yr.no — wherever coverage overlaps. More accurate than the models the pros use.
A talking-head avatar will read today's forecast live from this panel, citing every station and satellite pass it uses. Wire your streaming endpoint into data-slot="weather-presenter".
The primary forecast is ECMWF AIFS — the European Centre's own AI weather model — served free through Open-Meteo. It draws on the same reanalysis training set that beats the physical model on most metrics that matter.
Wherever coverage overlaps we cross-check every station against MET Norway, the state meteorological service that powers yr.no. When the AI and the physical model agree within two degrees, we publish a green "models agree" badge. When they don't, we flag the disagreement instead of hiding it.
